Prior Event’s Accepted Items

We know that many items for which there is a cost to recycle, end up in the trash and the landfill, are discarded in the landscape or buried.  Our goal is to encourage our partner companies to come together once a year, and in one place, to accept these items from local area residents.  If not entirely free of charge, because of the volatile nature of the recycling industry, then at significantly reduced rates.  While we attempt to keep this event entirely free to residents of the neighbouring five county area, changes in offshore and Asian countries where US recycled goods are normally sent for reprocessing may create fluctuations in the costs to recycle items collected.  It is now more important than ever to demonstrate the volume of reusable products which should be diverted from landfills and address the need for reduction in consumption and alternatives in the single-use industry.
